I mounted my spare 33" in the spare tire well. I pulled the brackets off, found what metal plate I had, and fabbed up some crude extensions so that the 33 would be snug underneath. Unless you just want it topside, this is way easier and cheaper.

^^X2 I just did the same thing replacing my OEM 31" POS Goodyear Wrangler with a BFG AT 33X10.5.

In the bed sucks. When I had my mini truck on 35s the damned spare took up half the bed. Never liked it. Especially if I actually needed to use the bed for something.

I'd try to fit it underneath if it's at all possible. If you have OBA, you can deflate it to get it to fit.

This is a cool setup.

I have a Tiregate mount attached to the top of my bed rack.

It's removable, in case I want to mount a RTT up there and it keeps my cargo area open.

that's really cool, reminds me of my old 1st gen Taco, but I mounted the stock pulley on the underside of my bed cage that and yours looks way nicer.

Thanks,

The plate can be inverted like yours. I also thought about mounting a pulley as well.

Yours is the first I've seen that has done so.

that was about 12 years ago, I havn't seen another. I could easily mount the tire on top and run the chain through when a I needed bed space, it was a good solution as I was 22 and broke at the time.

They were detachable, pull a cotter pin at the trail head and go. My great grandfather used to own the Mack/Jeep dealership down in Sacramento so I was kinda partial to the brand.
