Do the bows/cover look original? Is that a M416? He says its a 1968 3/4T.

Sorry, that's all I've got.

OK, he told me over the phone that it's a beast. He said it's about 5X8' and a full sheet of plywood will fit inside the wheelwells. That makes me believe it is a a M-101......anyone confirm that??? He said he pulls it with his Bronco. Bows and canvas cover came with it. I'm hoping to go look at it tomorrow.

Would this be too much trailer for my FJ40?????

That sounds like one of the big heavy ones. The M416 was classified as 1/4 ton and is really 3/4 ton. The M101 was classified as 3/4 ton and is really about 2 ton.

It's not an M416, the sides are wrong.

I would not use an M101 to pull behind a 40. It's really too big and heavy. Excellent heavy duty utility trailer, but not a good FJ40 offroad camping trailer.

you could load your 40 in the trailer, i dont know that i would want to pull that size trailer around. Kinda disappointing that they are so big, cause you can find them everywhere

It is a M101A1 or A2.

It pulls fine behind a 40 on the road and gravel but is pretty big for trail use. I took 3500lbs of steel to the scrapyard with one behind my BJ70 and cranked a u-turn in about 40' right off the scales. Couldn't have done that with a full size pickup. Behemoth60 has one that pretty much everybody in the club uses for chores. Very handy indeed but not really an off road trailer unless you have a huge rig.

Kewl, thanks for the info, guys! I'm gonna try to get in on the group buy in Vehicles/Trailers for sale. :D
