Icom 2000h (1 Viewer)

I'm looking at a used ICOM 2000H and am wondering what you radio wizards think of it? Is it a good buy or am I better to save up some coin to buy something better?

Looks like an older, ok basic 2M radio.
How cheap is it? A brand new Yaesu FT 1900 can be had for $175 and the Icom IC2200 for $195 from Radioworld in TO - most likely Burnaby Radio would match.

Seller wants $65. It is at least 11 years old. Radio review site said they were made in Japan until 1999.

As long as it works ok I can't see how you could go too far wrong for $65. Great for trail comms and will beat the pants of an HT for less money.

Someone thought the same. It was only posted this afternoon and it is gone. I replied as soon as I saw it. No email back and no call.

Nothing wrong with the 2000H. If the final power amplifier transistor package goes, its easy to come by and cheap/easy to replace.
