I want to see a fold down front windshield

I have always thought the front windshield on a vw thing was the coolest idea to integrate into a vehicle. I am not sure if older Land rovers can do this, or that of a older land rover. Has anyone done this before?

Hi All:

There were a few other models of Land Cruisers with fold-down wind shield frames besides the BJ/FJ/HJ40.

43/45 Series had folding wind shield frames.

Some 70/73/74/75 Series had folding wind shield frames also.

I don't think *any* 55, 60, 80, 100, or 200 Series came with fold-down wind shield frames, due tot he fixed metal roofs on these models.

AFA Land Rovers go, all 90/110 up to about 2007 can have the windshield fold, you just have to swap the stays for hinges. My '84/'95 110 had a folding 'shield.

Can't see it working well on a 60 even as a mod, since windshield and hood both curve, in opposite directions.
