I think I may have inadvertently turned my vehicle into Mickey Mouse with my 1 fog light (aka, 3 headlights) and home made bug deflectors. I'm glad my side mirrors aren't black.

Just curious, why is your front license plate offset?

DEWFPO

After I bought the FJ, I sold my sister my old 89 Bronco II for $200 (I was having a lot of issues with it but she swore she wanted it and could get her husband to fix them). We were both at my mom's one day and the Bronco wouldn't start (starter problem I had been having and had told her about) and it was at the bottom of a slight hill. So the FJ's front bumper and the Bronco's rear spare tire lined up real good, so I told her to get in and I would push her so she could clutch start it to get home.

There was a telephone pole to her right, that she had no chance of hitting, but she still turned the wheel all the way to the left, "to miss it", and the steel tube bumper hooked on my bumper and put a couple of gouges in it before I realized what it was doing.

So I moved the plate over to cover the gouges. You can see the original holes in the center where the dealer put it on, but it looks better than the gouges.

So then she stops by the liquor store on the way home to get some beer and pulls in forward to a parking space in front of the building. She leaves it running but it dies while shes in the store. So she calls me to come help her. I tell her to F**K OFF, but she calls mom and mom guilts me into going up there and helping her.

When I get there she starts saying "I'm sorry, ...". I say "Shut up and get in, and don't call me again!" and I hand push her back a little and then hand push her enough to get her started. Fortunately the Bronco was very easy to clutch start in second gear.

interesting set up to say the least haha

Never seen anything quite like it. I'm thinking more Cyclops than Mickey Mouse. Why just one light? Usually only the super expensive HIDs come in singles.

Because of the three wiper blades, I wanted three headlights, this was as close as I could get. It's looks perfect at night.

I had previously disconnected the daytime running lights with the connector behind the drivers side headlight. I hooked up the fog light so it would be on with the low beams and off with the high beams. But for some reason it now works as a daytime running light, it comes on with the head lights off when the parking brake is released. I like it this way because I also ride a motorcycle and I feel it may make people think that when they only see one headlight coming down the road next time, there may be something more substantial behind it than just a "bike", and maybe they won't pull out like they tend to do when a motorcycle is coming.

I used to say it was a Cyclops (especially in the daytime with just the fog light lit) before I put the bug deflectors on but then I noticed walking out to lunch the Mickey Mouse thing. I've uploaded a straight on picture that shows the Mickey Mouse resemblance a little better.

By the way, the home made bug deflectors (2 painted PVC pipes bolted to the plastic hood trim piece) works much better than the one I had from www.weathertech.com, that worked OK, but was broken by a bird strike. I got the idea from my Mustang Cobra hood bra that has the same kind of pipes sewed into the bra.

Added picture that shows three headlights at night.

Interesting. I guess i see a little more mickey in the frontal shot. Good job on the home made mod! Always cool to see something different.

My very first car was a tricked out '95 Cobra.... Last of the 5.0 era. Man that thing was fun. Kind of wish I'd kept it.... oh well. I had to get rid of her because I needed a 4WD for up at my cabin. I was watching Pass Time on Speed and there was a chick with a 2003 cobra that was making 740 HP at the rear wheels without Nitrous. And she had a two stage 250 shot on it too. That thing was FAST!

This is kinda like a woman with a Third Breast....Just Not Right.

But hey...if you like it...:meh:

I've got 2 hands and a mouth, so I like it.

I like my setup to be functional, I don't care about how it looks to other people. All I wanted was to light up the area below the headlights when you switch from high beam to low beam and one light works fine, two seems like overkill.

But I do apreciate the input, both good and bad.

you know what i think it looks more like a rhino...lol

I now feel dumber for even looking at this thread and really regret it...

Good call noob: This is definitely very technical...

Why would you put one light on?
That fj is an eye sore.

Jeez, resurection of the dead thread.

Well maybe he has two by now...

Well it looks fxxxing gay. FYI

Not to my taste, but bonus points for originality; no one will ever mistake your truck for someone elses!

Who gives a rat's ass what anyone else thinks of it - it's your truck and you get to do whatever you want with it.

I don't ask, it doesn't tell. What it does when I'm not around is it's own business.

Although now I do get self conscious putting the gas pump nozzle in the filler hole. Thanks.
