Unless it manages to backflip off the lift, I would imagine the ceiling will stay intact. The sliders are 48" off the ground, so that gives me plenty of room to get at everything under there. Definately gonna come in handy when I start customizing the suspension to work with the 8" coils or an inevitable portals swap.
Works a lot better for my smaller cars, I can get the Celica and S2000 6ft up.

I would cut a big hole on the ceiling. I don't think I can wrench under the truck at 48" height for a long time, but that is just me.
Will it stop when the roof rack reaches the ceiling?

Haha, won't happen. Thats what the ladder on the right is for...so I can stop it before it makes contact.

When I was working on Honda's, I had this idea about well-trained monkeys.........I know a "little person" that does stunt work. He might be willing to help out when you need a hand.
They are pretty strong, and they can get their little hands into those tight places.
But I couldn't get them to quit chewing the handles off of my screwdrivers.
