My thoughts exactly. I had a few people show interest and offer to buy mine if I decided to let insurance take it. Might be worth finding out the buy back and posting it here and see if you get any takers. You will come out the same (or possibly more) and someone could get a nice parts rig.

I made the call this morning. It was just a little too steep for me to be able to buy back from State farm. If I had a different vehicle and didn't need a replacement ASAP maybe I would have bought it back, but I just don't have an extra 3k on hand to make up the difference.

What are the odds, the LX I was going to look at and most likely buy on Sunday, the owner just called me to tell me he got rear ended yesterday and his truck is not totaled...
