1996 HDJ81 w A442F, 340000kms with strange noise. Noise sounds like radio static whooshing that occurs from 1800-2000rpm between 70-90kph. It occurs in 4th gear only and under hard acceleration and sounds like it’s coming from centre or left hand area when in the drivers seat. Noise is not present in any other scenario and the transmission shifts perfectly.
Any ideas on what it might be?
