I ordered the wrong Redline ATF for my 1997 Lexus LX450 and my 1998 Toyota Sienna Van. They call for either Dexron II or III. I ordered Redline ATF and not the D4 ATF. Their regular ATF is for dexron II applications and their D4 is for dexron III applications.

Does anyone have a lot of experience with these fluids and am I ok using it? If not, I just wasted $110.

Thanks for the help.

Andrew

Actually, it will suposively work but Cary advised that I get the D4 which it their dexron III product. The documetation on the website was very confusing. I thought I was getting D4 but I got the their regular ATF which is for dexron II appplications. I guess it will work but is not as good for my 2 veichles as the D4.

Thanks

Andrew

Have you called them to see about returning it for what you meant to order? If you explain their website is confusing and tell them that you may have to call your credit card company and dispute the charge due to this, I'm sure they'll do what they can.

I am working on that now with the online retailer I purchaed from. He is on Ebay and so far no response to my emails. To soon to say he is ignoring me but he has no advertised phone #. I purchase a lot off ebay but this is my first problem. It is kind of my fault also as he has a picture of the product which says Redline ATF. I was not aware that the D4 ATf says just that. I know now.

Andrewsreef- I don't know why ebay makes this so hard to find, but use this link to request the seller's phone number and address (you just have to enter the item # of the item purchased and the seller's userid and the contact info will be emailed to the email address you use with ebay):

If the above link doesn't work, just goto the following page and click on the "contact information" link:

Ok, spoke to a Redline Rep and he said not to worry about it. He said it will work fine in both veichles. He said it is certanly better than the petrolium fluid I am using now. He recomended next time getting the D4 so I am going to use it until it is gone. :ban:

This is good news for me as I hate to waste $$$$

Thanks for the help.

Andrew

I assume when you spoke to a redline rep, you called redline themselves?!! If not, give them a call, they are really good about answering questions.

Cary, yes I emailed Redline and we exchanged a few emails on the tranny fluid. He said I was ok and to just get the D4 next time.

Thanks again.

Andrew
