I let the guys at Toyota Techs in Ft Mill work on my Cruiser(Mark and Johnny) so when it came time to start needing body work i consulted them. They pointed me to a guy named Chip at Metrolina Paint and Body shop on Highway 21 just down the road from their shop. I went by and met him and he has a bunch of old restored muscle cars out front. I took him my doors to have the lower patches done and sandblasted, my fenders, my new"ish" front bib, and my hardtop. So far all is done but the hardtop and its blasted and primed and it looks perfect. Def knows how to work on old rigs and get the rust out and fixed.
Thought i would share the find for anyone needing a good body shop.

Do you mind if I ask how his prices are? Need some body work done on the cruiser, and that is not far from me at all.

i will let you know later this week or next when i pick it all up. I hinted around not raping me on price but he seemed trustworthy and didnt seem too worried about the work i took to him so that makes me think it should be ok.

The guys that I used said that they are also interested in doing more work. They are a streetrod shop though, and don't specifically know cruisers. I took them body panels and a tub, and did all my assembly here at home. They are more a restoration shop though, and less a body repair place.

you should see it in person. I am almost afraid to touch it its so pretty.

Stopped by and checked everything out and squared up on my tab thus far. For them to blast, fix all dents and dings, cut off old and install new lower front door patches, and cut rust out of bottom of bib and weld in new metal and etch prime the following parts: bib, aprons, fenders, windshield frame(cut out rust around motor), front doors and bezel it cost me 2500$. This did not include me buying the lower door patches but they did the rest... for what it all looked like before i took it there and what it looks like now I thought it was a pretty decent price and th work was really good. Their painting prices are a little high i think so i am not sure that they will get that end of the deal but I am still trying to negotiate. Stuff looks brand new so either way, i am a happy camper and they did great work.

ha! i knew i would get some sh*t for that. I will score some this week....
