so i thought my shocks were shot because every time i go over a bump i get the 30 second bounce , so i was under my wagon on the weekend for an unrelated matter ( damn parking brake cable snapped inside the drum ) and i was checking around when i noticed the tube that between the frame rails has broken off on both end's about four inches from the frame rails  , .

So should i get a new tube and weld it in place with a plate for reinforcment or is there a better solution for mounting the rears shocks in place .

by better i mean easy and inexpensive .

thanks kevin

Weld in a new tube, it's a common fix.
