thats the good side the other side has some rust on the wheel arch , but i got a smoking hot deal on it and the frame is soild , it will be just a daily driver for now down the road i am thinking a propane sbc and a spring over .

Congrats on the purchase - finally! I saw that one somewhere but can't remember where or when I saw it posted. Guess I've been looking at too many ads. BTW, there is a cheap 3B for sale on the Island which might go even cheaper as the owner really doesn't know the condition. See the VICs section. Interested?????........:D

3b's are not where i plan on ending up , so i will drive the gasser for now , i thought very seriously about the red 60 with the 3 " old man emu , but the fact it needed a total frame swap and transfer case rebuild scared me off and that was before even tackling all the oil leaks on the 3b , you still end up with a very under powered cruiser , i bought this truck from a guy here in coquitlam .

the biggest thing for me is the frame is solid , the starting point of the truck. the stock axles are 4.10's and are trussed, untill i decide what to do , keep it part it ? it will keep my 60 bug at bay .

i think that as the price of both diesel and gas go up that doing a small block chevy propane conversion makes more and more sense .

canuck safari what are your plans ? a 60 for the trail one that you can beat on ?

Looking for (AKA Dreamin) a FJ55 to rebuild and baby. I already have a good trail rig/dd. I need to do some work on it. I do like the looks of the 60s and 70s. I am kicking around the idea of bringing in a JDM HJ81. Too much market risk right now unless you have money to burn - and I don't.

The 3fe can be tuned to be quite good. The 3fe yahoo list can definitely be a good source.

My 3fe in my 80 pushes it along well. In town thought the MPG were sad. Don't city DD it too much or you will get the blues. I am lucky to get 10 mpg in the city. But highway I was seeing 14-15.

Looks like you found a nice clean one, congrates.

nah it has rust , but from the pics you cant tell , but it has factory a.c. and all the power options . and i got it cheap .
