**SOLD** I Can't Believe I'm doing this #2 - 89 FJ62
I don't want to, but I should! Lots of house projects have forced me to put up my 1989 FJ62.
Here's the scoop:
I am the third owner and have had it for the last 5 years when it had 100K, the second owner was a family friend that bought it from the dealer with 20k on it. It is in very good condition (with a few minor items listed below) that gets a lot of compliments when ever it is driven. The interior is in very good condition (not even a rip in the side of drivers seat). There is 3 areas of surface rust (explained below).
Within the last 2 1/2 years and 20K:
Brakes
HFS Lift - Cool Cruisers
34.5 x 10.5 Swamper LTB's ( 50-60%)
Alternator - AC Delco
Starter - New Denso from Cool Cruisers
More Recent than above:
Muffler/tailpipe - Local shops performance setup
Waterpump
Radiator
Thermastat
All hoses and belts for above
Recharged A/C
What you should know:
Rear main drip. It's had it since I got it and just never got it fixed as I was not concerned. Just added some oil every so often.
3 spots of surface rust. (1) The rear mud flap holders ( I know, a little picky). (2) a spot the size of a dime on the lift gate handle assembly (?) - it's not on the paint, it's the chrome/plastic piece. (3) a spot the size of a golf ball on the top of the frame near the front bumper.
I hit a pole in the ground about a year ago and it left an 8" crease in the driver side rear qtr panel and a couple of other wrinkles. It made me sick when it happened. It's visible, but from a few yards you don't really notice it.
Rear bumper has a ding in it since I have had it. It's visible, but adds character
The car shifts smooth, but sometimes at low speeds of 5-10 miles an hour WITHOUT giving it gas when shifting to second it can be a hard shift. I have been told that this is the kickdown cable or assembly?? It does not do it when giving it gas and does not do it at any other speeds. Again I have never addressed it as I am not very mechanical and was not very concerned.
I am not a smoker neither was the previous owners, but the second owner would have a cigar from time to time and there is a small (1/3") hole on the top of the drivers seat. The front seats have been covered since I have owned it. There is a spot where a piece of gum from my young daughter left a smudge on the rear seat. Lastly there is a discolored spot in the carpet in the very back abotu the size of a couple of golf balls.
I know its lots of detail, but I want to be honest. This truly is a very nice truck and will hate to see it go.
Asking $8,000 please email or pm me with questions. I am located in Western Washington. More pics at:
