I just checked out the website - it looks like a lot of fun. I will have to talk to the hubby about this. We might be ready for a roadtrip in January!

Heck, I know I'll be ready for a road trip in January...a road trip without pee and poop, and crying and...hrm...I may not want to leave my lil girl quite that soon, maybe next year when I can bring her.

Dude, I've said it once and I'll say it again. They travel BETTER when they are younger. As they get older you have to worry about entertainment and such. When they are that young all they do is sleep and poop. Both of which can be done in a car seat.

Yep - El Presidente speaketh the truth........

Dood...I know this...I just can't convince my better half of that...

Yep, see you there so we can wheel together. I thought you won a entry to something, was it this event? I liked the registration question of how much body damage can you accept. I said the next stage above cosmetic. :hillbilly:

I'll slap some sense into her.

She'll be ready for a break by then anyway.

Yes, I won a free pass at Tall Corn for this event so it will be on the house. :D Still undecided on a LockRite or not. Sometimes there great, sometimes they can get you in trouble (off camber situations). Not sure it's worth having one for my DD. I will problably be camping with the Arkie or Houston group again in Old Camp. See you there! Is your son coming again?

Jamboree

I will call you when I get there, if you still have the same #. Mine hasn't changed if you want to call or text. I think I will be attending alone, I do have a friend I could ask, but have not decided. My son now has a job so won't be attending. He did really enjoy the trails. If you keep your foot out of the throttle the LockRite is docile on the corners. :steer:

Wade, will they let you camp Thursday night since it's a drive? I'd really like to make this event, start the new year off right. Plus, Larry's going!

I'm trying to convince my :princess: of this too. She will see after our trip 1600 mile (one way, with a 1 week stop 1000 miles into it) trip back home in Dec. She will be flying back with the little one so I will complete the 1600 mile leg back by myself. It will be interesting to see how she fares with a 6 month old all day in an airport/airplane.

Have you looked into an aussie locker? I have read that many 80 owners have had success with them, but I would imagine they are similar to the lockrite.

Aussie does not make a locker for the non-TRD tacoma's only the TRD ones. The non has a 8.4" rear and the TRD has an 8". I made sure to rub it in when I sent Aussie a "begging email" that LockRite makes one and they don't. They've heard it a thousand times. They said it might happen when they introduce one for the 05' and up taco's. LockRite and ARB are my only options and I have done my research to death.

Sorry about the hijack, but from your research is there a significant difference in street drivability and offroad performance between the aussie and the lockrite? That is intersting, I didn't know TRD vs non-TRD had different axles.

Sorry Jason just realized you asked me a question. As far as I know that is not a problem. I will ask the local guys down here. I'll post up and let you know.

Hey I got an answer. Yes you CAN camp Thursday night just no wheeling. Let me know if you are going for sure so we can make plans. I'm hoping to camp in Old Camp again this year.

Who is going to this event? I could use a break from Iowa, but I don't know if I want to drive ten hours or not.

Looks like Larry and Wade and Trisha are registered. Anyone else?
