3L actually. Not quite the bomb that the 2L-T was AFAIK.

I used to have one of the few rare Toyota 2WD p/u conversions done with Vanguard that had a motor-home type of back to it. It was on an 83 Toyota, so it had the poor little 22R and a 5 speed, the entire back was fibreglass, with factory 4 captain chairs, table, a cooler and a sink. I replaced the 2 captain chairs with a bed and it made for a great little camper. Still 2WD though and still under powered. There were only 500 of them made, I rebuilt the engine on it once and as far as I know the guy that bought it off me still drives it on the island somewhere. The other one I had was an 81 Toyota Trekker, which was the prototype for the 4Runner, with a back fibreglass on a 4WD p/u set up, full walk through, looked like a pick up with a canopy on it. That one I sold before the frame decided to rot away but it was great for camping. I think it's still around as well.
