Hi,
So far we are happy with every thing, thanks to Rusty we changed some connection on the webasto as it was only working on a "safety mode" (automatically stopping after 60min) now we used to run the heater over 13 hour with -40°C / -40°F outside without any trouble.
And actually we made some modifications here the cubbi box at the front:
Fit some lights on the roof rack to check for wildlife at night:
add a box on the roof:
fix the high-lift on the bull-bar:
Fit a cyclonic head Donaldson on the snorkel, the one we bought in Kazakhstan was the size just under:
and also fit our bi-cylinder air compressor on the engine bay.

Good thread. It looks like you did some very quality work on your truck, very innovative the way you used the materials you had on hand.

So far we are very happy with it. The Plan is to drive it till Argentina then :
A) sell it over-there to some travelers who want to drive it up north.
B) driving it back into USA / Canada and sell it.
As we are traveling around USA for now if ever some people want to have a look on it.... (boudu22"at"hotmail.com)
We are also going to be at the Surf and Turff meeting in November in California...
Maybe see you, Katia and Ivan.

hi to all...
More than time to send some updates....
Well, we have been on the road from September 2012 till December 2019.... here is a map of the trip:
We shipped Sputnik back from french guiana to France, took about a month and since december 2019, We have been working on it.
We started a complet restauration of the HZJ75 and we are also making some mods, as there is a new team member.
Here are some pics of Sputnik back in France with 565000kms ich on the clock and after visiting over 40 countries:
Those pics where taken just out of the container, we cut off the roof rack in french guiana to fit in the box as it was in a bad shape.
PS: quick question to the moderators, should i keep posting the rebuilt here or start a new thread?
