HZJ75 - 1HZ knocking noise following engine rpms (2 Viewers)

Hello brains trust,

I browse these forums from time to time, however today its my turn to seek some advice.

Today I noticed a knocking sound coming from the engine which follows the RPM of the engine.

I've uploaded a sample of the noise into YouTube, here. I find a good example of the nose appears from the 3-6 second mark in the video.

From what I can tell it doesn't sound like valve ticking, it seems lower in pitch, although adjusting the valves is on my list of jobs to see if this remedies the noise.

I'm worried that the noise is big end bearings, although the sound actually appears much quieter from under the car. I will look at dropping the oil pan and replacing the bearings.

Anyone experienced a similar noise and can provide any advice?

Loosen each injector pipe one at a time and see if it goes away.

Swap a suspected faulty injector with a good one and see if the knock swaps when doing the pipe loosening a second time.
