HZJ74 rear jump benches

Hello gents,

I recently bought a HZJ74. The interior is in really bad shape so I will be rebuilding a big part - mold, broken pieces etc.
As part of that I decided to put jump benches into the back of my truck as they are foldable. I know that the HZJ74 usually did not come with these but I saw a few pictures from a Hungarian seller who fitted them in quite nicely. Tried to drop him a mail if he could send pics and advise how he fitted them but did not get an answer. Is there anyone who fitted them in a 74 or 73 truck and could give advise and pics? Also pics from other 7. trucks appreciated. I posted here the back of my truck and the Hungarian one. Cheers Red

These are jump seats for a 2002 FZJ74. Looks like it is fastened with 3-4 bolts to the side walls and one to the floor, near the front of the wheel well.

Hi Hoser, thanks for the advice. I bought some shorter version of the seats than the ones you sent on the picture with the parts.
Also it has not got the same brackets for the bolts..Maybe it comes from another Landie type.

What about seats from a Soft Top BJ46? From what I have seen they had them, and were sold in Europe.

It appears that in the 70 Series, jump seats were used only in soft top models and troop carriers.

My soft top FJ73 has jump seats (behind the rear bench seat) in the rear that look factory but I don't think they are very useful for adults. Just kids. They fold up when not in use but easily fold down.

Hi FJ73! I indeed want the seats only for very random use but want them in. Could you please take photos of the both seats up and down and where and how they are attached to the car? Thanks a lot upfront!

I don't have very good pictures but I can share the couple that I do have right now. My cruiser is at a local cruiser shop getting some work done on it and I probably won't get it back until the week after next.

I am looking more into the troopie kind of benches.
Lets see if I find someone who has the long benches in his HZJ 73/74 or LJ73 and could make pics of the fitting.

I misunderstood your request. Hopefully you can find someone with the bench seats. I like the bench seats more than what I have.
