Going to do some Nitro shafts in the front of my new 1990 HZJ73.

The front is a high pinion 8", looks like an 80 series e locker front axle only leaf sprung. The rear looks to be a standard issue cruiser e locker rear, also leaf sprung of course. Before I have to pull the shafts and measure I figured I would ask: does anyone know if this shares axles with an 80 series? LJ/RJ Prado?

None of us stateside guys are sure, these trucks have only been eligible for import for a couple of years.

None intended.

73/74 post '90 should be the same and can't help but think he's encountered.

Honestly, can't see what would be different between the 9.5" locked short shaft and the 8" HP, pre-coil sprung.

Ah ok. Yeah, apparently they haven't encountered a high pinion 8" e locker 70 series front exactly like this. Hoping someone can confirm that it's the same as the high pinion 8" coil spring model of the same era found in light duty cruisers of the era.

The differentials in post 1990 70 series are the same as a 80 series pretty positive but the axle shafts will be different lengths. The short or long side could be the same though.

I'm on my phone but if you can go on toyodiy.com it would show if the the two share part numbers
