Hi all,
I'm attempting to have keyless entry installed on my 1990 HZJ73. Has anyone successfully located all of the door lock relays or have reliable knowledge of where they should be? Both the Japanese all data and the Toyota official wiring diagrams are incorrect so any other resources or information would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

No, just a viper system. Is there a better option that is 24v compatible?
The tech did find one relay or one set of relays for the passenger side but nothing else so far.

Check Autowatch they have a 24v immobilizer and also alarm that will work with 24v system. Autowatch Canada - Immobilizers, Alarm Systems, Anti-Hijack, Idle Protection, GPS Tracking, Remote Starters, Ignition Interlocks

Thanks for the info everyone. Turns out the relays definitely are in the drivers door. The interesting thing the learn was that they take a double negative pulse to function. That's why they were so hard to find. Sooo now my question is this. Has anyone done this successfully? We had everything wired up and working like a champ, only to find out that using all the converters required to go from 24v down to 12v and back up to 24v x 3 sucks the batteries dry in like 2 days. So if you came home on Friday and didn't go anywhere until Monday, you'd be SOL. Thoughts???

Hello,

The FSM indicates that the system must be grounded to the two points on the left or right cowls. How did you ground the circuit?

My 73's PO installed an aftermarket power lock but did not ground the circuit properly: he drilled a hole on the driver's side pillar and bolted a cable. It did not work as expected, and sometimes it was hard to fire up the engine. Long story short, I had to remove the whole system, including the makeshift ground point.

You might want to use the Toyota components for this conversion.
