All of the above dash pads according EPC are used in the series above, would this dash pad fit directly to bj74, dash assembly. As (Epc number differs)
I would assume so, is their anyone that would disagree please shout out, found a int/ ext temp display, thinking I should take the safety dash pad as well while I can .
Just want to make sure they fit straight in, any feedback much appreciated
Cheers

I just bolted a dash pad to suit the dual fuel tank guage in to directly replace the non-guage pod dash pad that was originally fitted. Don't know if the dual fuel tank pad is the same as the int/ext temp display, but it certainly looks extremely similar.
I'm sure / hoping the hardware is the same just different display options, What was the gauge pad out of? HJ75 troopie or something later, I have locked in to purchase from NZ the dash gauge pad, thermo gauge pod, & sensors, so fingers crossed it works out.:hmm:

My dash pod came from an FJ73 which was being wrecked by a scottish bloke up near strathpine, the dash pad to suit came from an ebay wrecker and was from a troopy I believe.

Only catch I've noticed to date is that there appears to be two bolts which go vertically down into the steel lip behind the dash for which there are no holes in my car. I plan on an angle air drill and then some nice M5 or M6 stainless riv nuts.

The 70 series dash from 1984 to 1993 are all interchangeable, the only changes until 2006 were in a limited number of LJ70/1 and LJ78 which came from Japan between 1993 and 1996 when they were fazed out by the 90 series. Hope this helps.
Thanks senior, if my seller is spot on with year make, I should be fine, 92 LJ78.
On the topic of drilling holes into dash frame, I wondered whether I have those holes or not as I've heard of this issue before, but I'm thinking maybe it's a aus spec version issue, as I'm not aware of aus version bj74 that came with dash pods, could be wrong but I have not seen any, and the JDM may have them in already drilled, will have to wait and see.
You might want to create thread hot Gemini when you get to that job, and if I need to do it as well, a good reason to catch up .

I put a hzj75 sub tank dash and n pad in my fzj79. There was no hole in the dash for the wires to go through. But it all fitted.
