Hi folks,

First time post. Have been following for some time. Live in southern Australia. Running a 2005 standard landcruiser (HZJ105R). That is 1HZ 4.2l 6cyl diesel, no turbo. Slow and steady. Solid front axle stock, rear barn doors, almost entirely non electronic interior. Perfect for the Aussie bush.

My goal is to fit a rear bar to carry single or double tyre(s). However, I wish to greatly improve the rear clearance angle. My understanding is that Kaymar, ARB do not achieve this. Christo seems to be on the ball with his design.

So the question is, does the slee rear bar fit onto the HZJ105R?

If not, would the 80series slee bar fit?

If not, any other manufacturer that achieves such an improvement in departure angle?

Thank you in advance for your advice. Hopefully as I learn I will be able to provide my input to other posts.

Toby.

Welcome Tigg! I am pretty sure Slee's 100 series rear bumper (bar) won't fit your 105. Not sure about Slee's 80 bumper but you can contact Slee directly or even your fellow aussie, Darren, at Autocraft in South Geelong who would know more.

We have very few 105's in the US and hence nothing off the shelf for it. Personally, I'd suggest finding a good fabricator in your area and have them design the bumper of your dreams.

Thanks for the thought.

Yeah, I thought that'd be the case for the 100 slee. I was hold some glimmer of hope that perhaps the 80 bar would slip on. Any light on this tought?

As I understand the 80 and 105 chassis are very similar, if not the same.

Otherwise maybe I need to hone in the metal skills and build one. That'd be dangerous! Haha.

Thanks again for your help,

T.

Thanks Christo.

If you couldnt buy your product, would you have a favorite second option?

Thanks mate,

T.
