hey i have a o4 hzj105 std which has been having problems starting the last few days. the engine would crank slowly like a flat battery and dash light seemed to flicker when stopped cranking. today it got worse when trying to crank all the electrics die like they is no power have to turn the key off for it to come good again. i have recharge the batterys and load tested it all good and have try a battery from another vehicle and still the same can anyone help? thanks

You have two battery's on the diesel if I am right. It does sound like a battery issue, do a battery lead voltage drop test, as you could have a bad connection. Check both negative to body and negative to engine block then positive to starter motor, you need to put load on so crank the engine over when doing tests, max reading is 0.5v but it should be a lot less with the battery leads(immobilise engine). Other tests, Resting voltage should be 12.6v+, charging voltage 13.5 to 14.5(turn on as much accessories as possible to load up), voltage drop across the battery when cranking shouldn't drop below 9.5v(best to immobilise the engine for this and crank for 15seconds.
