I'm looking for a set of 6.0 or 6.5 x 16" steel rims for my ("88) HZJ75 which is a 6 bolt pattern, do the LC 80 series use the 6 bolt pattern ? would they be a direct fit ? I'm looking to use 255/85R16 tyres.

I fancy a set of original Toyota split rims - but its the same old augment about tubed / tubeless... I don't plan on changing the tyres myself and the more remote places I travel the more road side tyre repair places I see..... (North Africa / Asia crazy!!)

Any ideas on where in the UK / Europe sell these, ideally second hand as I want to keep the budget down.

Kind regards
Matt

They dont have the same part number but I think the differnce is miniscule. You can also use the 16 in hilux rims although the offset difference is about 10mm.
I think Nissan Patrol will also fit

With a set of tyre pliers and plugs you can mend your own tubeless tyres. If they get too cut up to hold air ,you can put a tube in them.
Once tubed tyres get a puncture, they deflate instantly. With tubeless you can drive for months sometimes with a nail in them.

Tubeless tyres run up to 30% cooler.
Tyre shops here tell me the tubes are not the same quality as they use to be.

Thanks for the feed back Rosco, do people weld the standard rims up to 6.5 over with you ? or is this a big no no.... keep the standard look, gain the extra width and run the wider tyre... I guess balancing would be a pig...

Cheers

Matt

No,we just got to a shop and buy a wider rim. I have 16x7 R.O.H heavy duty rims like these without the chrome.

I run 235x85x16 light truck tyres with a bridgestone D694 tread.
Just perfect for highway and sandy conditions.
If I need a tyre ,I can use a 7.50x16 if I have to, which is what Toyota trucks and buses use
