So turns out the water was higher than I thought and flooded the truck. Took the glow plugs out shot all the water out put I back together and it started like new (this was on a logging road after a 4runner winched me out of the water). First 15 minutes it shot water and black smoke out the exhaust and now it runs like new. A bunch of the electrical is ****ed but it runs fine. I put it up on the lift, changed the oil and checked the diffs and all the other fluids and it everything is good. Ordered some new filters. Is there anything else I should do?
When taking the intake pipe off I forgot to unplug what the engine schematic calls VSV for Number 1 intake constrictor control connector and it snapped off. The truck doesn't run any different that I can tell, but is it bad to run it like this?
