Hey guys So basically I was doing a river crossing and halfway through i hit a foot drop and my nose dove under and sucked in a bunch of water and died, I had to leave my truck in the river over night and the next day i winched it out,

- Changed the oil & Filter
-Took off intake / air filter
-Unplugged the 4 Glow plugs

and tried to turn it over and all i heard was the starter click once hard,

Any idea whats going on?

Battery? Try turning it by hand. Did any water come out when you removed the glow plugs? Normally you remove the plugs and turn the engine over and the water gets pumps out the glow plug hole if everything is ok.

Worst case scenario is you have bent a conrod(s) or jammed a valve up against a piston. If the glow plugs were removed before you attempted to start and it wont move, I would say its the worst case scenario.

I did that in my ranger...it cost 18.5 grand
