Anyone know why there is an HVAC outlet inside the center console cavity yet I see no exits?

Just spit wadding here, but it may be to keep air circulating around all the head unit electronics.

I haven't checked diagrams this morning but that may be the connection point for the rear center console vents on the 2-Zone HVAC. If you have 3 zone it would explain why it is blocked off.

The following is a wild-ass guess:

In some markets the Prado was available with a cool box center console, much like the 200 series was available with here. That tech attaches directly to the HVAC coolant lines so this port wouldn't be for it directly, but maybe Toyota added that port to reduce the temperature delta between the cool box and the inside of the console, with the net effect of reducing condensation on the outside of the cool box. Or to prevent freeze over of the cooling lines due to stagnant air.

Cool box actually available in markets outside of the US in the 460 itself in addition to the Prado’s. You are correct that it was plumbed into HVAC lines. There is an integrated fan in the unit as well.

It does appear as I suspected for the center console vents of 2-zone.

GXBox has an older video of center console removal. His vehicle doesn’t have 3-zone. Notice the HVAC duct in this picture. That isn’t present in mine with 3-zone HVAC and it appears terminated at connector OP posted.
