Hey guys, I've been lurking for a long time and since I don't yet have a cruiser, I don't have too much to contribute...but I am hoping to change that soon. I'll be selling my Tacoma and swapping it out for a land cruiser, hopefully!

I am looking for a 2003 or newer without the stock navigation. I have seen a few for sale in the past, but none currently. If you have seen, or know anyone that has one, please pass their info on to me. Thanks!

Pulled the carfax and it's originally an Ohio car so i'm expecting some rust. Do you want to see pics?

Good luck, let us know how it looks.

Okay I checked her out and the sales guy is really nice. This is my first time inspecting a 100. I am a noob at this stuff so if I missed something or I broke a rule here please let me know.

Here's what I found...

Cons:
Half the 3rd row is missing
3rd row seat belt needs to be replaced
Carpet inside around third row needs to be shampooed
Front passenger door lock (not functioning) Actuator needs to be replaced
Interior needs serious detailing
Fair bit of Rust (front diff housing, tailgate, and wheel wells) I guess this is subjective
Antennae doesn't go all the way down or up
Various Speakers are blown
Dent on the tail gate
Front left seal on driveshaft needs to be replaced (not the CV side but the diff side)
No sticker so it may need timing belt and water pump (although belt looks good and not old but not new either)
Pulls slightly right on the highway (slightly noticeable)

Pros:

Old Man Emu Lift
33” Tires?
Driveshaft looks like it was replaced recently
Sunroof and all windows including the vents all work. Sunroof and roof area was inspected and seems fine.

My heart says YES! Especially since it would seem relatively easy to drop in a dual din head unit with a back up camera and Sirius XM (and bluetooth phone & audio). HOWEVER, my brain says no. Carfax comes out clear. This car started as an Ohio car then made it's way to VA.

I can post pics if you want but only after I get to my hotel. LMK if you want me to post.

Why not NAV?

Why not NAV?

I would prefer the ability to upgrade to a modern interface and not use a 13 year outdated touch screen/navigation system. The navigation unit in models 2003 and newer have controls for the ac integrated in. It us called a Multi Function Display, often referred as MFD on this forum, there is no way to simply swap it out for an aftermarket unit. www.cruiserops.com was working on a third party solution but nothing ever came of it.

I think I just viewed the same vehicle. :) And I'm in the same boat. I love it because it's an LC, but I'm worried about the repairs. I'm wondering if it's worth the $14,980 price tag...? If not, is there a reasonable price that would make it a good deal?

Also, I don't have an LC yet, so please don't mind the username. Ever since I drove a friend's LC, I've been looking for one (and it was only for 30 min!!!). The username is just me trying to will the universe into making it happen. ;)

If anyone is really interested, I have pics that i can email you. I'm horrible right now and figuring how to post pics but if it will save you guys time then message me and I'll send the pics to you.

BTW: I just bought a 2000 LC Black. I'm glad to finally be part of club.
