Howdy gentlemen,

Anyone have a 54mm (or 2 1/8", 55mm) socket I can borrow tomorrow? I think my wheel bearings are loose and I need to tighten them down. My socket has been on order for a week or so, but not in yet unfortunately. None of the auto/hardware places around here had any size that would work. Hoping to stay away from the screwdriver and hammer :o

Sam got me covered.

Any mod please delete this thread when you have a chance. Thanks!

If I delete it then no one will know to just PM Sam if you need a hub socket.

haha, plus, its good cruiser karma for Sam

Sam and his Cruiser definitely deserve some good karma. ;)

:D Thanks guys, my arms are open to good Karma. I do it b/c someone did it for me and hopefully that tradition/trend passes on both on and off the trail. If there is anything else I can do, let me know B (or anyone else for that matter).

Sam you are a prime example of why I love this sport and especially Toyota owners. (Nothing against Jeep owners or others, just experience) Good people who do the right thing and help thier bretheren with no expectation for self gain. I am a true believer in pay it forward and I love to see and hear about my fellow SoCal 80's members and TLCA members doing just that.:beer::beer:

Sam what's the status of your rig? Are you trying to put her back together?

Juggling several things...
Body swap is not looking too feasible b/c I dont' have the facilities to do it that would need the "Overhaulin" setup.

Looking at other truck options but then I am WAY over budget (buying an OK 80 and swamping all the parts, also very time consuming.

Tubbing the top and a throwing in a piece of plexi (or the like) as a front windshield has been on my mind.

Thought about trying to get a shop to deck it out and sponsor the rig even emailed Xtreme 4x4 to try and get it on the show, but no luck there.

To answer you Q:
Status = in limbo
The mechanics/suspension of the truck minus the steering are great, the Body is F'd

If anyone has the space, time, and a forklift for a body swap give me a call. Until then the search continues.:grinpimp:

We need to nominate YOU for Overhaulin!!

Where do I sign up! I would love to see his rig get resurrected with flames on the side! :grinpimp:

Definitely. Sam is one of the many good fellows in SC80s!
