Just curious - how big of an event is this? Are we talking about 200 rigs here? I'm not sure that the wife would go for something as crowded as, say, Midwest Old Threshers........

Tony

I wouldn't say 200, maybe 100. It wasn't crowded, rock floor bring a good pad.

OH, and a bigger tent

Bigger tent is definately in the plans. Of couse, if I go, I'll probably have the 80 series - I can always camp in there. I talked to the wife about going, and the first words out of her mouth were "How far is the nearest motel?" so I'm not sure if she and the kids will go or not.....

Tony

5 miles to Hannibal. Hotels go quick.

With no kids last year we slept in the back of the truck .

We got there early Sat morning. One night in the truck wasn't bad.

Not sure if the kids will go this year.

I am so glad to hear somebody say that it wasn't crowded last year because this year there will be more trails and more rocks available and the competition course will be all ours on Sunday .

Please visit www.howiebilt.blogspot.com and all of your questions concerning hotels and camping or B&B's as well as site maps and tons of other info , can be found there and it saves me from having to type it all out on the different websites .

Thanks again !

Money's a little tight and gas is going to be REALLY expensive, so I think Lance and I are going to cancel our Moab plans and head to this instead. We might try to make it down South a little ways (since we have the week off). It sounds like it's going to be pretty damn fun!

I looked, but didn't see if there were tent camping facilities at the park - it may end up just being my daughter and I. Is there a place to set up there, or do we have to reserve a place at one of the campgrounds? Can we camp out of the back of the 80 at the park? I won't be needing any electricity.

Tony

there's a camp ground right next door to the park

Cool. Thanks, Rob.

Brian (my brother and fellow wheeler) is having problems getting his rig finished in time.

I am not sure if I am going to make it.

If I do we will be there Sat morning.

Who should I look for.

For those who don't know me I will be in a Black Chevy Truck with a Orange FJ40 on trailer behind.

Wish I could make it, but can't... Have fun and take lots of pics! John and Andrea, hope you have a blast!

Ditto, can't make it either. Got the lift installed, but no bumpers or sliders yet. Need to try to get corn in the ground this weekend if I can! [please, God, stop the rain!!!!!!!] haha

Tony

Anyone else here? Haven't seen anyone i know?

Sorry I missed it..........couldn't get my junk built in time and didn't want to wheel the LX with absolutely no armor.
