Update for finding Klean Strip Aircraft Remover. Walmart did not carry it in their paint dept or in their automotive touchup paint area. Home Depot-NO, Ace Hardware-No, Autozone-NO but carried a Rustoleum "similar" product. Advanced Auto had something similar made by 3m for 19.99 qt. Napa carried only spray cans for 7.55 ea. Finally found the qts at an OReilly's auto parts for around 10 bucks.

Question for those who didn't clear coat their wheels: Do you know if using Wheel/tire cleaner dulls the finish? This usually happens on non-clear coated parts.

Just wanted to wrap this thread up since there have been a lot of recent posts on how to strip and paint wheels.

Here is the final product:

Hey fellas. Bringing this back. Just wondering if the Klean-Strip Aircraft paint remover will work on chrome wheels???

Big thanks.

Am I the only one who just scuffs up the stock paint and paints over it?

I mean, the wheels get constant trail scuffs and scratches so mine are never going to look new anyway. I just use a nylox wheel on the drill and a can of my favorite paint and I'm done.
