I was trying to change to a different mast length for my weboost antenna and the connector got stuck inside the mast tube and I had to pull off the coax connector. I know I just need to crimp on a new coax connector, but I’m not clear exactly what size it is. It’s very small. Also I’m sure I need some kind of special crimp tool. The cheap coax crimp tool I have is meant for cable TV and as much larger. I think the weboost cables RG58. Can someone confirm that or tell me what it is? The cable is about 5mm OD.

thanks for this. All of the "FME" connectors I can find have a hex head nut style shape for tightening the connector. The one that cam with the Weboost is round and knurled so that it fits through the extensions masts. I can't find FME connectors that are the same. I guess, once I have the stripper and crimp tools, I can just cut and replace connecter when I need to.

That knurling is low profile, I see a couple with knurling but they're probably as wide as the hex. Push comes to shove, you might be able to use the pin and crimp ferrule from a new connector on the low profile body.

Yeah, I thought about just that. Ordered some connectors and I will try reinstalling the connector I have using a ferrule from the new ones I bought.
