My hdj81 came with side stickers and I am not to fond of it. I am wondering what is the best and most efficient way to remove them.

I would look for an inexpensive heat gun and try that first.

Sometimes they just pull off.

I got lucky that way with window tinting.

Low heat heat gun then Goo Gone may work.

Swing by a good body shop and ask.

Fabric steamer. Heat gun will work, but heat plus steam works better. I removed factory decals off an 85 4Runner that were very hard and stiff. They peeled right off. I got my fabric steamer from Target for about $30. Its also the best way to remove window tint. Ive removed lots of very old, purple window tint with it. This is what I use....LINK

Hair dryer may not get hot enough. A heat gun is best. Harber freight has them cheap. You will need to use something like Goo Gone afterward to remove any glue film that is left. Then buff with a buffer and you should be good. Ive done lots of decal removal and some come off easier than others.

Agree with heat gun at low setting. Even lower in summer if truck is in sun. I've done it many times.

The less heat, the better all around, but you'll need to experiment. Less heat can't hurt and it's better than overheating. Gently and slowly remove sticker once you get it to start lifting with your fingernail. You can always remove any excess stickum with a wrap of clear packing tape by daubing. Shouldn't need to daub if you pull sticker off s l o w l y.
