I know a lot of FJ guys put some kind of removable plastic on the pannels. A lot like the windshield films they use in NASCAR.
 
Where do you find it for $7. Geeze it's like $3.50 for the roll here. Must be a Fjc thing. :):):)

I've heard of some people doing a whole vynil wrap on their trucks. Just peel it off and fresh unstriped paint
 
not everytime, do it once. The reasoning I saw was that whenever you wanted you could peal it off and have nice paint underneath if you decided to sell or trade it in.

Gotcha. Too late for all that on my truck since it already has multiple large holes drilled in various places. Scratched paint would be the least of the buyers concern.
