How to make my Own CB Antenna

I have a mag mount CB antenna where the stick screw in to the base. I would like to make my own antenna. My question to the list is,

Will it be possible to use my mag mount and build a bigger antenna and is there any place on web where I can get more info from?

It might be easier and cheaper to spend the 30$ or so on one. I have a 5 foot 4 inch tall one that I got for 28$.

Im really not sure but this one looks almost exact to the one I got. And I have the 5 foot model. Also, you dont need a mounting bracket if drilling into a stock rear bumper or mounting it on an ARB or something like that. I just drilled into my stock bumper, through a small piece of metal, and bolted it in there.

Sure, just mark off a 1/4 wave on the freq you want from some steel rod. However, you may benefit from using a 12m Ham antennta and cutting, or simply buying a $20 1/4 whip.
