how to identify gears??? (1 Viewer)

More on the toasted 80 front gears saga.
Chris was unable to find the factory gears he took out of his truck.
Steve has one of the sets from his regear but neither of us know how to tell if they are front reverse cut gears or rear normal lc pumkin gears

no part stampings. Ring gear is 9" and pinion is 8" long

Sounds like rears to me but anyone else got a better idea than my guess?

Yep, those are rears. Fronts are about 8" like a mini truck.

That is what I was thinking.
IIRC fronts are a 7.5 ring gear and rears are 8.75.
Does that sound right?
