Hey Does anybody know what the Axel code is for the factory locking axles. I believe it's K294 can somebody confirm or enlighten me? My 97 LX450 is K292.
The reason I ask is I'm Looking at FJ80'S and LX450'S over the internet and i can get pics of the model plate info to make sure I'm looking at the right stuff. Or if somebody that has factory locking diffs could look at there drivers door tag after A/TM should look like this K292/A443 (or whatever gen trans you have)

Thanks In advance

Ok let me rephrase this: Does a axle code K294 on the door vin/model plate mean that it's a factory locking diff ?

The K294 code on the door vin/model plate means it was equipped with diff locks when it was built. You need to make sure those diff locks still exist before you hand over the cash, i.e. they have not been swapped with open diff axles.
