I don't shoot it anymore, ammo is sometimes hard to find and expensive when I do, and I was thinking of padding my deposit on my new bike by selling it. Its not beat up or had tons of rounds through it either. Im just not a gun guy, don't know how or where to sell it and how much. I obtained the gun at the gun show a few years back when I was with my law enforcement buddy and he told me what to get and that it was a good price. I got it so that I wasn't always shooting his guns. Its a nice gun, but a dust collector as it just sits in the case. Kinda of a waste.

Thought i'd throw it out there, I know a few of you guys are gun guys and could point me in the right direction or even want to buy it.

Couple of sites that can give you ballparks

gunbroker.com
budsgunshop.com

Other options would be to call a couple of Phoenix area shops and say you are looking to buy a HK 40 USP or what they would offer to purchase. Figure its like a used car - private sale = better money, eventually. Shop sale = no worries about having LEO knocking on your door a year from now as you're the last registered owner of a firearm recovered from a crime., but they'll offer less - they have to make their profit on it as well, figure they'll offer 50 to 66% of what private might get.

The form 4473 transfer private individual to private individual can also be done at a number of shops, which puts a record of sale, and makes sure for *you* that the purchaser is not a prohibited possessor. There is a usually a nominal fee of 25 to 30 bucks to do that at a shop. I would also ask any of our Uncle Leo board members to correct me if I am wrong in any of the above belief or statements - I'm not a lawyer or LE, just a happy gun nut.
