I appologize if there are 100 threads on this.....

I've got this 40 that was left in a barn for about 15 years. Got it running. Runs Good :D. That saved it from the graveyard .

Now it looks like a 40 that's sat in a barn for 15 years that runs. i.e. it has a good amount of surface rust and some rust issues I'll have to fix and have questions on later.

After I strip it, how do I get the rust out of the joints in the body? I think I can sand out most of the rust on the body panels and save them. There are only a few places that look pitted bad enough I might have to cut them out. Nothing I can stick a screwdriver through on. (I have places I can, but I'll get to those shortly).

How do I get down in the joints and get that rust out. It's white in color so it shows all the rusty water trails all over it coming from the joints.

Spot blast them all and pray?

If I just strip, wirebrush the cracks, use rust converter and paint over it I'm afraid it will start to show sooner than later.

I'll try and post a pic.

I may spray this truck myself so I'm not trying to get fancy. It's going to be a trail rig/hunting truck.
