yeah. it isn't moving. i wrenched hard on it too (in addition to the impact wrench).

i'd never touched a transfer case before, so i thought maybe there was a trick to this particular nut or something. :S

Try this, it's a bit rough but desperate times call for desperate measures. Give your bar a good hit with a decent hammer, at least a 4 pounder, don't be scared to take a big swing. Use a single hex socket if you have one.

Apart from that you could try a 3/4 or 1 inch rattle gun, if you know someone with one.

24" breaker bar finally did the trick.

Guess I would toss that junk 'impact' wrench and replace it along with the rear output seal and stake nut....
