I have been looking to buy a UZJ100 for quite a while now and have not been succesful.
I would love to find a 2004-2007 Land Cruiser but there aren't too many around.

I do prefer the cleaner look of the LC compared to the LX, but the Land Cruiser 100 was never officially available in Canada so there isn't much choice on this side of the border. So far I have found two decent Lexus options, here and here

I am not much of a chrome kinda guy and my biggest issue is the rear of the vehicles. No offence, but they look too Cadillacy to my taste. I am also not a fan of all the plastic two tone body paneling etc..

In the meantime I have been searching the forum for examples of de-pimpefied 04-07 LX's.
Getting rid of the rediculous whale tail and running boards is a no-brainer but can somebody show me so threads and pictures of cleaned up LX examples, preferably '04 and later because of the different the tail gate design.

Yeah, I wish they would have brought the hundy over but that would have stripped sales from the LX. I live in Ontario and ended up importing an '04 100 from Michigan several years ago.

Both of those vehicles you link to have been for sale for a while. I prefer the one at Mazda of Toronto. You could probably work a deal to get it off their lot.

All the best!!!

The LC is very hard to find here in Canada, although they are all over the states. I was lucky to spot one on a used car lot in Georgetown last year and bought it on the spot. The used car dealer wasn't familiar with it and I got it for a steal 11k all in with only 150k. Barely broken in and little rust ( exflorida footballers car who moved here a couple years ago.

I had an importer ring in my Audi a couple years ago. Might be an option for those wishing to import this rare breed. It cost 1500 plus duty of 6% and applicable tax. With the dollar near par it made a lot of sense (even if it didn't, who cares its a cruiser!).

Now we are planning a second cruiser In the next year or so- perhaps a 40 or 55 series as our around towner. The 100 is our all round camping rig /fuel drinker and the Audi is the rocket.

All the best to kitting out you LX! It's a great rig! Send a holler if you guys want to use it for a bit of exploring Ontario.

Yes, I have been thinking about importing one from the states, but I still have my GMC to trade in.
If I could sell it, I would definitely go that route and find me a nice clean white rust free LC100.

I agree that the Mazda of Toronto one seems the best deal and I yes, it has been for sale a long time (almost a year I think). They dropped the price already a couple of times so they might be eager to move it.
I might pop them an email and see if they are interested in my trade in before I head over to Toronto to take a look. It's a 4 hour drive from where I live.

The other one looks very clean too but I do not like the color combo. But it also has been for sale a long time. It seems unabused and for some reason I keep on looking at it.

Plastic dip for the chrome. Members have removed the tail and plugged the holes but for a clean look, a fill and repaint job would cost anywhere between $500-800.

There are like 150+ holes under the side cladding. Some have removed and bedlined it. Others have repainted it the same color as the top. Mine has a couple of dents under the cladding that can't be seen... so they do help in that regard. The white LX's have same color cladding as upper body.

Here's plasti dip on mine so far.

Looks a lot better with Plasti-dip. Did you delete your spoiler too?
I'd like to see a more recent ('04 and up) too. I wonder how it looks with those reverse lights.

I think land cruisers would have never been as attractive and large if American taste was not followed by Toyota. Escalde is beautiful vehicle and so is the LX570. Only because of following American taste.

But I do appreciate your taste as well. More off road looks. Cheers

Spoiler and roof rack were not installed on mine.

Nice... no smoked lights on your 2000?
How many coats did you spray on?

You talkin to me? Why would you want to make your brake lights less visible? Neither of my trucks have smoked lights, but the 2000 does have the areas around the lights painted flat black so the brake lights are more visible.

As far as plasti-dip coats, one light coverage to get a nice tacky base then one full coverage coat. It's thin.

Thanks for the plasti-dip tip. I plan to give the chrome part of the grill a coat of it.
