How much is this Bronco worth?

1 of the significant 7 from the seventies. I always thought someone should do a coffee table picture book on these vehicles and I imagine what it would have been like to go to the dealership in the 70s and have all these incredible choices. All 2 door, off road convertibles with manual everything.

1. Toyota Land Cruiser - FJ40
2. International Scout
3. Ford Bronco - pre 78
4. Land Rover Series I and II
5. Chevy Blazer and GMC Jimmy (prior to the K5)
6. Jeep CJ's
7. MB G-Wagen (1979) - Had to have a 7th one to make the significant 7 from the seventies work - ;<)

I'd do the Dodge/Fargo Power Wagon before the G-wagon.

Why?

Molon Labe

Well the conversation is about iconic 4x4s right.

Everything on the list is an SUV or wagon and all but the G-wagon have removable tops, so that's not a criteria.

Given that, I would consider the Power Wagon to be the more collected and iconic 4x4 that was available to the NA market.

I was at the beach last month riding around in a G wagon. A Brand New G wagon, AMG version with plus 500 hp and white leather. Three electric lockers. She said she liked to be able to get a jump on people at the lights.

Loved the power wagon as well. I think that was the 7th as they were all available from the dealer. G wag was special order back than.

Here is the final chapter on the Bronco:
The Bronco was bought for $12K original and perfect. The new owner wanted different paint then a few other things.
The mods were $15K, plus whatever the owner has done since the upfit stuff which was : "The Bronco is running a modified 351. Putting out about 400. 750. Cfm edlbrock. Hooker headers. Performer intake and heads. Flat top pistons. And 411 lift cam. Body and paint was done in Concord. We Rewired the entire truck. It's really nice
Suspension was a kit from a company called wild horses. Also we exchanged the gears out for 4.88 it should lift the front wheels in four wheel low."

That was from the builder in Charlotte. I have his name and # if someone needs it. He said Broncos like that are running about 40 at the moment.

As for iconic 4x4s in NA I like your lists.
On an international basis among 4wd users in the bush I'm sure the Lada Niva would be in there. It's the go-to 4x4 in a lot of countries.

I had a 72 before I got married. It was literally a barn find. Found it in a local trading post in Va. Drove to see it and he drove it from behind a barn. Body was good but sat a long time, had no brake lines and intact fenders. No cutting. $500 later is was on a roll back heading to my house. Never had the time and money to do what I wanted to I cut the cord and let it go. Sure wish I still had it, but it put a ring on Stacy's finger so it was worth it. lol
