We had pretty good conditions. Very little wind made for flat water. Cloud cover minimized boat traffic, but makes for a colder swim.

After the race finished a storm blew in with high winds and some rain/hail.

A guy on a paddle board fell off his board and went missing.

It is not looking good for that guy.

Sad news:
They found the guy Monday. I can't imagine what kind of shape he was in by then.

25 years old - sad.

Let's be careful out there.

Pork Rinds in the lake!! Nice!

Happy Saturday, Everyone.

@bobm it sure does look like a beautiful day up there.

Down here too... but HOT... We'll be hitting 90F today. Makes for a lot of sweat in the shop. Piggy work going to happen.

We don’t have the water view but…it is 66* and breezy today. Even started blowing a few leaves in between spring u-bolt tightening

Anyone have experience with Harbor freight winches?

To be more specific the Badlands brand?

I’ve got some buds who have the Badlands winches installed. They work well and they like them.

I've been working on my meat rabbit coup off and on all Summer. A little steel, welding and a lot of paint. We're real close to getting the rabbits. I had to stop on the coup and cut up some firewood, wore me out all week, now comes the splitting. :)

This is the frame work for the " poop pan ".

Finished and waiting for the rabbits.

Here's my load of wood this week, white oak and ash. I won't burn this for three more Winters, but a good start. Cutting and hauling those big azz ones was rough.

I've got a list for the 55, but that won't come until early Winter. We're headed to the Ozarks in two weeks with it, no camping, rented a cabin.

I gotta get going on the firewood cutting too. Good for the winter on 2 cords but also need to cut a couple truckloads for my Mom. Forest where I usually go cut has had fire restrictions all summer (no chainsaw use). Have to cram all that work between now and the second weekend in December.

I cut some when a white oak falls on my property but I have a guy that delivers a face cord ( half a real cord) for $120. That’s for split, seasoned red oak. Not worth my time for that price.

Should have papers soon for my daughter to start driving Uncle’s (RIP) 2014 Avenger, only 26K kms on it and still good shape despite sitting six plus years.

Today was battery, oil change, bleed a litre of new brake fluid through it.

It’s that time of year. Got lucky this season, coworker knocked a couple down a while back that he decided not to burn. 2+ cords for the taking. Pretty easy splitting too.

This one I’m just going to leave here

With the body of a 80 year old....:)
Just turned 79, headed toward 80 next year Used to say 70 was the new 60. Now thinking 80 may be the new 90. As one of my favorite singer-song writers James McMurtry (son of Larry) says..."It's a damn short movie. How'd we ever get here?" Still vertical at least and looking at the grass from the right side.
