Anybody doing fun things? At my age, I like to say HNY!... and then go to bed.
Anyone doing a party?

I'll probably throw down this year, hard to outdo last year. Probably start with a little supper with the family followed by storytime for the girls. I'll probably fall asleep in the process and then stumble out to clean up the kitchen.

After that I'll probably pour a cold beer and complain because the only thing on TV is a bunch of crappy New Years Eve countdown shows and then wake up confused on the couch at 12:30 having missed the countdown altogether. :meh:

Headed to a party at a friend's house over in Hoover around 7:30-8. Pretty laid back group of folks, nothing too rowdy. Little bit of beer drinkin. Welcome to come with if y'ont to.

Dude you are totally lame!

We bust out the sparklers.

That reminds me...I forgot the part where I go outside and yell at the neighbor's kid and his friends for setting off fireworks in the street.

Which also makes the damn dog bark all night.

Put the wife at work and that is spot on to what I do now. Kind of miss the days with no kids but then again I really don't need to be hung over on Thursday. Damn it takes forever now to get over the fun nights out and a three year old doesn't understand that daddy needs the lights off and some quiet time.

I know it's going to really hurt when I get to my 60s. Now it takes two days then probably two weeks. I miss being 21 when it was just give me a few hours and I'll be fine.

I went and partied with Keith and his peeps. He and I won the charade's game or whatever that was that we played. Good times!

We won by one, and the winning answer was Eric Meyer. That may or may not have been "cheating."
