I have a 1997 Cruiser and am having trouble here. I have removed the 2 smaller nuts and also loosened the larger pipe bolt. I am having a heck of a time getting off now???

Does the EGR valve move at all or is it 'cooked' on ?

Removing the studs (at least one) where you removed the 2 nuts will allow the EGR valve to come off easily.

cheers,
george.

It moves forward off the 2 smaller bolts with some force. Seems maybe it is cooked on at the pipe bolt.

Remove the 32mm nut attached the EGR and the EGR tube.
Move the 32mm nut slightly down the tube.
Remove 2 12mm nuts
Remove both 7mm studs
The EGR will come straight off
Catch the metal gasket

When you reinstall the EGR, add a small dab of anti-seize to the threads. Keeps the 32mm nut from rusting on the EGR pipe.
