I’ve been getting bad bump steer and wobbles around 85kph and the problem is worse with big wheels and tyres and doesn’t seem to happen with smaller ones. Problem seemed to be its worst while running true 35s with 17 inch wheels.
Vehicle is currently running a 4 inch lift on 305s with 16 inch ROH wheels which has almost eliminated the problem however I am still experiencing bad bump steer and slight wobbles. Caster is correct.
This is what I’ve replaced in the last 10,000kms to fix the problem.
- swivel hub rebuild
- new radius arm bushes
- superior engineering solid draglink
- adjustable panhard rod
- new ends for track rod
- replaced steering box
Has had wheel alignment and tyres are balanced.
