I FINALLY bought my 2000 Land Cruiser few weeks ago.
I've been looking/lurking for 3 years... first 4Runner then FJ then GX470, and came across a 2000 LandCruiser 200k miles with no rust. I made a cash offer and after few txts it was mine!
I've been spending a lot of time reading this forum for maintenance and ideas.

Question on a Rock Sliders.

I found a really cheap 4Runner (for 5th gen) rock sliders in local craigslist.
It is 70.5" long, has a rear wheel kick out, angled slightly upward, and has two "legs" with plates for the U bolt.

What would it take to modify this to fit 2000 LandCruiser?

I know anything can be done with time/money but I'm trying to see if it'd be a do-able project.

I have a friend who's got welding equipments - she can help if it's a relatively simple mod.
If all it'd take is to modify the mounting legs (and attach one or two more legs), then I might just go buy it and give it a shot.

Any opinion is greatly appreciated...

The length works but the legs will need to be cut, trimmed, and moved, or replaced.

If you have access to a welder and have the skills, you can make those work easy.
Also congrats on the Cruiser!

Thank you.

How far are the rock slider from the frame? Is there a drawing/dimensions for the mounting?
Congrats on the new Cruiser and welcome to MUD!

John at White Knuckle Offroad made my AHC compatable sliders with two legs on each slider rail and angled flat with zero degree upturn to serve better as step/sliders. The rails are indeed 71" long as @JunkCrzr89 mentioned. The middle of the front leg is welded 9-1/4" from the topside of the rail measuring from the front back rearward and the middle of the rear leg is welded 48-1/2" from the front of the rail the same way. The front leg is 10-1/2" long and the rear leg is 6-1/2" long right in the middle of each leg. They are on a slight angle so each side of the leg may be a 1/16th off one way or the other. Hopefully others will chime in because with them being custom made with no angling and AHC compatable for my 2006 LX these numbers may be different from what you need to mod the 4R sliders for your rig.
