So I'm looking for some measurements to try to figure out how much my parents truck has been lifted. It's got the classic spring sag and I've suggested getting custom (alcan) springs instead of putting another set of stock springs on (I replaced them with a less used pair after cracking a main leaf when I still had it and it's on it's 2nd set of brand new leafs after those)
2003 excab 3.4 5speed
285/75/16's
Only extra weight other than tires is a winch bumper on the front.
The PO (b4 me) had a fabtech 1.5-3" lift put on and I'm really not sure how lifted it is and want to have at least a good guess to give them so it doesn't end up with the stink bug stance.

So if you have a similar set up what's your measurements to the fender at center of the wheel front and back and how much lift do you have?

My girlfriend's stock truck on cheap 265/70R16 (see sig for more details)

Front: 34.75''

Rear: 36.25''

Measured from the middle of the wheel well to the ground (right at the edge of the fender flare)

If you measure from the center of the hub to the bottom of the wheel arch, you take the tire size out of the measurement, so it can be more easily compared.;)

I'm new hear, but been around a while. If you measure to the center of the wheel, you're having to eyeball the center. If you go the lower lip of the wheel, then you have somewhere to hook the tape measure to. I have some measurements to there.

These are from my uncle's '98 Limited 4wd, on new shocks/struts: Front Driver-29"
Front Passenger-29"
Rear Driver-28.5"
Rear Passenger-29"

He had a diamond plate tool box, a 33/1250 from his old Scrambler to get patched, and a half full 48 qt ice chest in the back. Hope this may help.

Thanks for the #'s I'll hafta check it when I get home.

This is true, but it would still take into account the wheel size, so 15" vs. 16" vs. 17" wouldn't be able to directly compare. Center of the hub is the best place to measure purely the suspension height, which is what we're looking for.

My taco, 2.5" lift, 255/85r16,

Front from center of wheel is 24" 1/4" rear is 25".

don't 'mud and drive

I'm sitting at 31.75" all around at the lower wheel lips...or 24.25" at the center of the hubs. I've got 33/1050s on some 15x8s.

And to convert my uncle's stocker measurements from earlier, it should be 21.5" front stock height at the center of the hub.

What Tacos came with 15'' wheels? I thought they were all 16s

The only real downside to 15'' is there are basically no load range E tires for anything smaller than 16''
