Hi,
I completely disassembled my brake system and will soon have to bring the car (Toyota Hiace LH50) to the inspection where the brakes have to function flawless. I adjusted the height of the arm to the settings in the manual but I know this valve can show many problems.
Basically when they are doing the brake test on the stand it will often:
a) not brake at all
b) block the brakes too fast
I know the load (cargo) in the vehicle of course will affect the results.
How can the home mechanic make the adjustments himself? I was thinking of driving down a gravel road, apply the brakes and try to assess how the rear wheels behave.
Any backyard, bush mechanic solutions?
Lucas
