I'm the guy who asked opinion on a rusted LX470. Thanks for all the help from here, I walked away.

How about this one? The truck seems well maintained, with clean chassis and frames. I drive tested, and it feels good. THe guy asks for $5500. Is that a fair price? BTW, the leather on both front seats were broken.

Thanks a lot!

Get a pre-purchase inspection done so you know what you're getting yourself into with 223K miles. Toyota Wellesley sees a lot of 100 series and that's not too far from Ashland. Remember that while the 100 depreciates, the parts to keep them running do not.

So very true and one of the best statements I've read. Being able to purchase a car and operate it are completely different things.

Add up everything (cost of purchase + cost of what you need to fix) and then see if that make sense for you to buy. You are buying a vehicle with over 200K miles, so you need to be prepared to replace things.

Fixing the leather seats is going to be costly unless you plan to put a cheap cover over it or maybe get used seats from junkyard. Any rust around windshield and top rear door? These are the usual place where it will have rust. Has TB and WP been replaced? Its due every 90K. LX has AHC suspension, which could be a bit more costly to fix compare to replacing the regular shocks, so make sure this system is still working.

Good luck!
